After "graduating" from these programs I think most people will feel physically improved and mentally capable of tailoring their own program based on their ultimate goals ie weightlifting for muscle growth Liss for heart health etc. If a person is just starting out, has motivation but not too much fitness related knowledge these programs provide guidance and encouragement and though they are pricey they cost less than a gym, require minimal time and equipment. Each will make you more "fit" but none will lead to high levels of strength, endurance, mass, etc because of their broad approach and lack of specificity for a particular person's goals, body, and abilities. Since completing these programs I've come to see them as good general approaches to fitness. Knowing that you are "done" in 90 days kept me pushing forward and provided a nice sense of accomplishment. For me these were fun programs with variety and a specific goal that helped in motivation.
